Your story needs to be told. We want to make it visual.

Karina Passos

Karina is a witty Photographer based in San Diego. Originally from Brazil, she has developed an unique style to create striking compositions.

Her natural approach comes from her passion for fine art and great old masters she has studied.

Combining available natural light, and spontaneous actions, her photography comprises the concept of transience and beauty found in the imperfection of authentic moments.

She loves the adventure of working in dynamic situations and being able to create stunning photographs, especially in challenging environments. Using creativity and intuition to make the most out of the scenário.

There’s a story behind every dish, karina is capable of following clues, until she gets to the heart of it. Which leads to lives, places and souls.

“Everyone loves a good story. A good story educates, entertains and enchants its listeners — a good story can engage like nothing else. When it comes to dining out, stories can elevate a meal from an exercise in fulfilling a physiological need to a transcendental experience to remember.”

Rachel Tan

“The final plate that is presented in the “pass” to an expeditor is a culmination of the work of many proud practitioners of various crafts associated with food. It is the result of exceptional dedication and work on the part of the farmer, the fisherman, the rancher, and the cheese maker”. That finished dish that stands tall in “the pass” is not only signed by that line cook and approved by the expeditor – it is signed by every person who played a role in bringing that dish to this point.”

Paul Sorgule

“I believe it makes the dining experience a lot more meaningful when you know the story behind the dish. The diner takes something back that he or she has never known before. It’s not that it makes someone clever; it makes someone aware.”
